Transparency, security and your rights
Herrmann Innovations takes the protection of your personal data seriously. Our privacy policy explains which data we process, why we use it and how we protect it. You can read the policy here or download a copy as a PDF.

Contact us about privacyOur own website analytics
With your consent, we measure page views, actions, visible activity time and sessions on our own hosting. A random browser ID is stored for up to 90 days; sessions end after 30 minutes of inactivity. The server stores only hashed IDs and reports for up to 90 days. Your IP is processed locally for an approximate country and is not stored. Form contents, URL parameters and visitor data are not sent to a geolocation service. Withdrawing consent in the footer stops measurement and deletes browser IDs. Existing measurements are deleted within 90 days. Controller: Herrmann Innovations.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) measures how the website is used, such as page visits and interactions. It processes usage and device data. Data may be processed in the USA.
You decide what can be active. You can change your choice at any time in the footer.

Cookies
Some of our pages use cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. They help make the website more user-friendly, efficient and secure. Cookies are small text files stored on your computer by your browser. Most cookies we use are session cookies, which are deleted automatically after your visit. Other cookies remain on your device until you delete them and allow your browser to be recognised on a later visit. You can configure your browser to notify you about cookies and decide whether to accept them individually. You can also allow cookies only in certain circumstances, reject them generally, or delete them automatically when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit this website's functionality.

Cookies required for electronic communication or for functions you wish to use, such as the basket, are stored under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing these cookies to provide an optimised service without technical faults. Other cookies, such as those used to analyse browsing behaviour, are addressed separately in this policy.
Server log files
The website provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser sends to us in server log files: browser type and version; operating system; referrer URL; hostname of the accessing computer; time of the server request; and IP address. This data is not combined with other sources. The source document cites Article 6(1)(f) GDPR as the legal basis and describes processing to perform a contract or take steps before a contract is concluded.

If you send an enquiry through the contact form, we collect the information entered, including your contact details, to respond to your enquiry and any follow-up questions. We do not share this information without your permission. Data entered in the form is processed with your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time by informal email. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. Mandatory statutory requirements, particularly retention periods, remain unaffected.

The source document describes processing based on consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Outsourced data processing:
We have entered into an agreement with Google for outsourced data processing and implement the strict requirements of the German data-protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

your IP address. If you use LinkedIn's Recommend button while signed in to your LinkedIn account, LinkedIn can associate your visit with that account. Youtube
Our website uses plugins from YouTube, operated by Google. The page operator named in the source document is YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. Google Web Fonts
This page uses web fonts provided by Google for a consistent appearance. When you open a page, your browser loads the required fonts into its cache to display text correctly. This requires a direct connection to Google's servers, allowing Google to know that the website was accessed from your IP address. Google web fonts are used to give the website a consistent, attractive appearance, representing a legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font from your computer is used.
